The Farmers Market of Bluffton opened for business in May, 2008. The first season was exceedingly successful with over 2,200 people attending the market on the final day of the season on 10/23/08. The dates for the 2009 season are April 23rd through November 19th. The market will be open every Thursday from 2:00 to 6:00. It is located at the Carson Cottages at 40 Calhoun Street in the heart of Historic Old Town Bluffton.   The focus of the market is on locally grown (SC and Georgia) fruits, vegetables, flowers and herbs. There are also food vendors preparing fresh food and live entertainment each week. Non profits are invited to the market each week to sell freshly prepared food as a fundraiser.
